Description The Help Desk Tier 2/3 agent's duties and responsibilities include but not limited resolving Tier 2/3 system troubleshooting, customer management, and project configuration/implementation. The position of for an inhouse engineer that will report to their offices in Hackensack, NJ Our current list of solutions that we sell, service, and maintain includes: + VoIP Telephone premise-based systems - mostly ShoreTel/Mitel + Configuration and installation of Paging Systems - mostly Bogen + Data Networking - Ethernet Switches, Routers, and Firewalls - mixed products Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) Troubleshooting product or service issues involving the following: + Voice transport, PRI, T1, FXO, FXS, SIP, VoIP + Good understanding of Local Area Networks including Routers, switches, firewalls + Server based network configurations including DNS and DHCP + Servers - ability to turn up servers and applications, including VM Ware servers Interfacing with customers with a positive problem-solving attitude Good documentation practices Participate in continuing education and onsite training for new products and services. Flexibility to perform additional tasks or duties outside of normal daily activities Requirements Design/troubleshooting networks including IP networks, routing, and subnetting. Skilled with SIP/VOIP/PBX Telephony Skilled with Windows OS for workstations Skilled with Windows Server OS and others. Skilled with VM servers. Candidate must have strong analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor. Candidate must have a customer satisfaction driven attitude. Be an active contributor in a positive team environment. Must follow predefined guidelines, protocols, and procedures as directed. Candidate must possess the ability to learn, retain, and apply new information in an ever-changing environment Education and/or Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, College Degree preferred. 5+ years customer service and/or technical support.
