What you get to do!

In this role you will be managing all aspects of IP telephony systems (specifically integrated with MS TEAMS), AZURE environments and communication systems (including communication lines, protocols, SD-WAN, VPN). This includes design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, support, and security. Reports to: Network Infrastructure Manager


VOIP Administration

  • Work with the infrastructure resources to roll out a VOIP solution integrated within the TEAMS environment globally
  • Configuration, Administration, and training of VOIP capabilities
  • Ensure the operational health of the environments including security, performance, interoperability and reliability
  • Define support principals and act as 2 nd level support for Help Desk staff

Communications Administration

  • Work with the infrastructure resources to implement and support the communications environment
  • Remove current on premises communication and phone systems as move to virtual is completed

AZURE Administration

  • Support environment with architectural and permissions definition as needed
  • Grow usage of environment within the company by establishing standards and defining how area should be used
  • Ensure environment is being maintained and backed up

General IT: support and training for hardware and software

  • Understand and support the IT Governance model that is in place
  • Work with and support collaboration tools (OneDrive, TEAMs, OneNote, Outlook etc)
  • New user setup and orientation including installing and configuring workstations, software, telephone services, network printing, etc.
  • Administer and support an enterprise-level Microsoft infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot other internal systems as needed
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Create documentation of environment configuration and how each area should be supported


Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar field * *Or 7 years equivalent combination of education and applicable experience


  • is working with VOIP networking systems and communications specialist
  • has worked with an AZURE cloud environment
  • Detailed knowledge of network security systems and software
  • Previous supporting role within Microsoft environments (O365, TEAMS, Sharepoint)
  • Working knowledge of network switches, routers, firewalls, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP)
