i3 is seeking a Sr. Level VDI Admin to support an Army Contract. The Sr. Level VDI Admin will serve in Technical Lead role, providing technical expertise supporting enterprise information systems and components for a large user community. The Sr. Level VDI Admin must have a customer centric approach and provide all level of support for the technical and cyber team as well as the user base community. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
A successful candidate will:
+ Function in a Technical Team Lead capacity, managing VDI related projects, installs, and tickets; managing a team of 5 or less.
+ Ability to take on project ownership and satisfy requirements up to completion.
+ Experience with VMware Horizon 8 VDI desktops, Windows 10, and Linux OS.
+ Experience with the installation, configuration, and administration of VDI system.
+ Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory groups, user accounts, and permissions.
+ Have a good understanding of group policies, local policies, and applications.
+ Experience in implementing and configuring VMware Horizon products; DEM, instant clones, connection servers, pools, and building golden images.
+ Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line ticketing systems, and in person.
+ Assist Sr. Administrators in the design and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements.
+ Experience with Multifactor authentication, CAC/Smartcard PKI and certificate management in a Windows environment.
+ Experience utilizing ticket systems to manage and respond to end user requests, such as JIRA.
+ Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
+ Understanding of information Assurance (IA) systems and practices, such as DISA STIGs, RMF, and system hardening. The ability to document POA&M requirements.
+ Manage Kanban Boards outlining the VDI Team work.
+ Brief and engage Government leadership on team updates, concerns, deliverables, and upcoming projects, installations, or maintenance downtime requirements.
+ Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
+ BS and 10+ years of relevant IT experience required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
+ DoD 8570.01-M compliant.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
+ Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
+ Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
+ U.S. Citizenship is required.
