Telecommunications Implementation & Transition Lead

LS Technologies seeking a Telecommunications implementation & Transition Lead to support the Federal Aviation Administration. The position will provide support to multi-functional teams across the Agency.


  • Provide programmatic & integration support to interface with multiple FAA teams/organizations to ensure proper communication/dissemination of information, development of project plans & tasking, coordination of tasking & deliverables, impact & risk development, monitoring & tracking of project schedules, and development of performance metrics to provide project status and to identify any elements of risk.
  • Supporting the development of a transition strategy and plan to convert services between the existing and new network vendor
  • Provide Transition management support to:
    • Ensure transition activities are implemented according to schedule and budget
    • Identify related issues and effective solutions to resolve transition challenges
    • Analyze and provide recommendations for new requirements and changes
    • Develop project plans and tracking tools to identify expectations, scope, schedule, and budget requirements
    • Keep all teams informed of project status, actions, and due dates
  • Develop management tools/dashboard to monitor the status of transition and NAS system related efforts such as
    • Site Surveys
    • Site Prep - including cable management, power, space, facility access, etc.
    • Outside telco box relocation
    • Security mandates
    • Emerging Requirements
    • Transition Core Team Development & Training
  • Leading meetings and discussions with large groups of field and program participants
  • Developing teams and define core team member roles as required


  • Prior implementation experience fielding systems or services
  • Knowledge of the FAA organization as well as site implementation requirements and processes
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across lines of business within the FAA
  • 16 or more years of professional experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred (may substitute years of experience for degree)
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
