Swanson Rink is growing our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Design team. The ICT team designs the telecommunications infrastructure that supports all of the IP based equipment, connections and technology throughout a building, or campus environment. With IP convergence the telecommunications infrastructure is supporting video surveillance, access control, a udio video, wireless and network infrastructure. Today's smart buildings are loaded with IP based systems infrastructure and equipment, which require a technology centric design team. Swanson Rink's team focuses on design for airports, data centers and commercial buildings and work with some of the most advanced clients in the industry. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning this exciting part of the building industry. Positions are open to all skill sets including entry level and experience candidates.

Essential Job Responsibilities

* Telecommunications cable infrastructure design to support IP based connections including Voice, Data, WiFI, Audio Visual, CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection. This includes detailed internal building layouts, as well as exterior campus connectivity.
* Design of electronic security systems including Video Surveillance and Analytics, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection.
* Design, specifications, configuration, and commissioning of large scale local, integrated, and network-based systems.
* Regularly interacts with clients, engineers, and architects, as well as clients and construction teams to proactively solve problems.
* Provide construction oversite, including specification and contract drawing compliance, and conducting site visits and formulating construction observation reports.


Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university is desirable. Degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field is preferred.

Knowledge, Skill, Ability, Licenses

* Preference will be given to those who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
* Working knowledge of industry standards including TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEEE and all relevant telecommunication standards preferred
* BICSI RCDD and ASIS certifications are a plus
* Must be authorized to work in the United States

Salary will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. The pay range and benefits offered for this position is expected to be: $75,000 - $110,000
