Senior Software Engineer ( Algorithims) Engineering

We are currently looking on behalf of our Global client, a leading provider of telecom software, for an Algorithms Software engineer for remote work in the UK.
Job Summary
The individual must be highly competent in working with complex mathematical algorithms which provide the basis for Telecoms technology simulations. This person must have sufficient RF domain knowledge to collaborate effectively with product experts and/or customer representatives to work out the requirements for emerging technologies and/or features; especially when the literature is unclear about what the industry expects to happen.
This person must have extensive knowledge of the ASSET simulator and how to incorporate new features and/or functionality without breaking older technologies and functions. This person must understand and be able to work with the simulations for planners (e.g. RSI, BSIC, scrambling code, PCI); be able to compare results from different tools.

Requirements
? Capable of creating detailed design specifications? Strong interpersonal and communication skills? Capable of multitasking and handling load under pressure? Capable of task estimating? Possess strong SQL skills preferably using Oracle? Knowledge of C++ and/or C#? Visual Studio 2012 or later? Understanding of XML and associated technologies such as XSLT & XSD? Windows & MFC Programming Experience? Microsoft ATL and COM knowledge would be a plus? Knowledge of Radio Network Planning & Optimization would be a plus

Requirements

Working closely in conjunction with the development team and internal stakeholdersto build proof-of-concept mock ups, demos and prototypes of proposed and planned applications and features.
Designing the interfaces for applications.
Collaborate in the definition of user interface design standards for applications to optimise ease-of-use and achieve an integrated and consistent look and feel.
Doing stakeholder research to understand client needs
Contributing to competitive analysis of competitor products
Writing clear specifications and guidelines
Developing mockups and wireframes for development and design teams
Coordinating with UI Design team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more
Analysing issues and problem-solving
Tracking usability goals and preparing reports for senior management
Running user tests
Looking for ways to improve the product
