About the team We provide a suite of products and services that empower Zillow Group's iOS and Android development teams to build outstanding mobile applications. About the role We're looking for an iOS Software Developer with strong architecture and development skills and a passion for mobile DevOps, observability, and engineering productivity. On the Mobile App Platform team, our "customers" are our peers developers, product managers, and quality engineers at Zillow Group. You'll build internal SDKs that allow Zillow's mobile app developers to integrate with systems powering authentication, experimentation, data science, design systems, and more. You'll work on our powerful iOS continuous delivery platform built on Kubernetes and AWS macOS EC2 instances. You'll teach development teams how to use our powerful monitoring and logging SDKs to identify and resolve issues before they reach our users. If you have a passion for driving velocity, standardization, and release automation across dozens of engineering teams, this is the role for you! This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $144,000.00 - $230,000.00 Annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations. Who you are You're passionate about making it easy and efficient to deliver fast-changing, large-scale mobile applications. You love to give tech talks, architecture presentations, and write how-to guides Expert understanding of Kotlin, Java, and Android SDKs Expert scripting abilities and experience integrating and automating a wide variety of systems Experience with popular build tools such as Gradle, Android Build Tools, Command Line Tools, and SDK Manager, and familiarity with Kotlin DSL Experience with at least one CI/CD system, such as Gitlab, Jenkins, TravisCI, Bitrise, or other. Experience with unit, functional, and UI testing in Android using frameworks like Espresso and Flank 5+ years of software development experience Additionally, the following items are preferred, but not required: Experience with Firebase Test Lab and remote/distributed UI testing tools Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS and declarative infrastructure tools including Terraform, Packer, and Ansible Familiarity with containerized applications and orchestration, including tools and platforms like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with metrics and log collection/visualization/alerting using platforms like Crashlytics, Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, or Splunk.
