Senior Infrastructure Engineer // Permanent // North West Based // Salary between 45-55,000 DOE // Hybrid working

The main purpose of the role, based in Northwich or occasional travel to remote sites is to install and maintain all ICT Infrastructure related technologies within the C Asset Management, also providing 3rd/4th line support functions to the Service Desk and Desktop Support Teams.

Duties of the role incude:

  • Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, you will:
  • Architect, supervise and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate 4th level issues impacting the operation of the corporate voice and data infrastructure.
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for telecommunication carriers and service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with planning and implementing systems and network integrations following M&A activity.
  • Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
  • On-Call Rota support

Technical skills:

  • Must have a practical level of experience implementing and administrating network and security solutions that utilise TCPIP-based services:- DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP etc.
  • Experience should include ITIL based incident and service request processes.
  • Windows Servers 2008/2012/2016/2019
  • Exchange Servers 2016/365
  • Active Directory.
  • Azure /Exchange Online

  • Takes ownership of workload.
  • Escalation of issues as appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate in business language with all company personnel at all levels.
