Northrop Grumman is hiring a Systems Engineer that will work in a technical role for a space program in Dulles, VA in the National Security Space business area within the Space Systems Sector. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge programs and new mission areas. This Systems Engineering role includes the following duties: systems analysis and trades, coordinating Vehicle Systems engineering activities, engineering baseline management, interface management, and requirements/V&V management. The responsibilities include both individual-contributor and leadership roles, within a multi-disciplined engineering team. Successful candidate will also be called upon to support other activities, including architecture studies, mission support, and traditional Systems Engineering functions. In this role, the systems engineer is expected to be self-directed using previous experience to aid in design, analysis, and execution efforts. Candidates must be able to recognize and mitigate technical issues and risks while operating within budget and on schedule. Responsibilities/Duties: Troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex problems that the program may encounter. Develop, author and/or provide input to major program data products and other deliverables. Writing status and technical performance reviews and reports The candidate will work with cross-discipline team members and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse community of engineers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team. Basic Qualifications: Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret level clearance, SCI eligible. Bachelor's Degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area and 5+ years of experience, Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience; or a PhD. Systems engineering experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a space development program Experience presenting to customers Experience working with a cross-discipline team Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,000.00 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
