What you‚ ll be doing + Help reimagine Slack‚ s information architecture. Partner on designing a practical vision for the future of Slack on mobile. + Design and advocate for mobile design systems, assist the design infrastructure teams, and partner on defining mobile standards at Slack. + Build and iterate on features that improve core usecases like writing, reading, and searching in Slack. + Be a mobile champion, advocate for mobile design quality, and lead by example. + Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and give feedback in product channels. + Collaborate closely with Design and Product Leadership to define your features and contribute to the overall direction of your product area. + Operate autonomously and provide strategic direction to more junior designers on the team. + Partner with engineering to ensure that our implementation and user experience set the standards for Slack. What you should have + 5+ years of experience in an individual contributor role, on a Product Design team for mobile. + A portfolio, showcasing a foundation in Typography, Grids, Systems, Interactions, Visual Design, and Ideation. + Solid understanding of building usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale to millions of users. + Experience in working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment. + Experience working with Product Managers & Engineering Leaders to develop the strategy and rationale for features. + Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills (especially if you love to use emojis). + Bonus: Experience designing for iterative and experimental features. _For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $166,600.
