This Mobile App Architect position works at one of the following locations: Sunnyvale (CA), Alameda (CA), Austin (TX), Bend (OR), or Orlando (FL). As part of an agile development team, you will lead mobile app development activities, transform the design and product vision into best-in-class mobile products (iOS and Android), and will directly influence how users will interact with the system. What you'll do + Design and build scalable user interface components for JavaScript-based mobile apps + Write reusable, effective, and scalable JavaScript code and create interchangeable modules + Design, write, test, and document applications while identifying solutions to complex problems + Work closely with product management, engineering, and DevOps colleagues to build features, resolve issues, and perform testing related to customer-facing high-traffic services and applications in a fast-paced and collaborative agile team while owning your solution from development to production + Ensure code follows the latest coding practices and industry standards + Ensure feature quality through extensive testing (unit, integration, functional, performance, and regression) with a focus on automation + Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the system APIs + Write both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks + Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions Qualifications + 10+ years of experience in software engineering with deep expertise in mobile app development (iOS and/or Android); broad experience in building modern JavaScript-based mobile products + Extensive expertise in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, LESS, SCSS + Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) + Strong expertise in RESTful APIs and how to use them in practice + Expertise in writing effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests + Mobile development experience with either native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks + Experience in agile development + Strong people skills, specifically in collaboration, teamwork, coaching, and mentoring + University degree in Computer science or similar technical disciplines Apply Now () Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
