ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY & SERVICES
Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley's software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions
The Infrastructure Systems Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of systems and storage infrastructure and related technology. This individual will be hands-on with the technology in addition to managing a team of systems engineers to deliver exceptional service in the support of the current on-prem infrastructure and expansion of emerging technology areas including public cloud.
Responsible for all operational aspects of technologies supported by the systems and storage team
Work closely with an engineering team to design, develop and implement new standards, procedures and processes to ensure the efficient operation of the systems and storage infrastructure.
Manage a variety of technology areas including Active Directory, VMware, NetApp, Rubrik, replication technologies, HPE and Cisco Servers, Windows and Linux OS.
Collaborate with business units and application teams to identify requirements and architect the optimal high availability and disaster recovery solutions leverage clustering, replication and advanced failover solutions.
Oversee ticket queue and response to ensure exceptional service to our customers.
Manage change control activities and develop, enhance and enforce infrastructure services related SOPs
Establish a set of KPI to track operational processes and efficiencies
Proactively monitor all infrastructure technologies to ensure uptime and provide ongoing infrastructure performance statistics and reports for future capacity planning and build out
Establish and maintain Service Catalog identifying all services provided to IT and business by the Systems and Storage team
Manage vendor relationships to include new procurement requirements as well as maintenance renewals
Bachelors Degree in MIS or equivalent experience
7 years of systems engineering experience with data center technologies
3 years of management experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, virtualization, block/file/object storage, backup technologies
Experience supporting SQL Server, Windows clustering, Exchange
Experience in operations support requiring the interaction with help desk and desktop support teams in the role of 3rd level support handling escalated issues
Experience with Jira or similar Agile tools for issue and project management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service orientation toward both internal and external customers
