The Business Development Bank of Canada is updating its infrastructure to meet growing telecommunications, communications and data protection needs. The implementation of new technologies is required to accelerate innovation and time-to-market by fostering resilience, agility and consolidation of the IT workload.

Our team is responsible for telecom infrastructure, telephony, virtualization, storage and backups at BDC. It consists of about twenty people from these diverse areas of expertise, who work together in teams to execute various projects, as well as to support BDC's production infrastructure.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in unified communications and telephony to join our team and be part of this exciting transformation.


Resolve issues, maintain and ensure the security of the unified communications and telephony infrastructure, and provide technical support. The candidate must have expertise in the following technologies:

  • Knowledge of WebEx Control Hub and all its hybrid services, CVI, Audio-Edge, Hybrid-Calendar (OBTP)

  • Integration of video conferencing rooms with Webex and "Unified Communications Manager"

  • Management of the integration layer for the use of Microsoft Teams in video conference rooms (CVI solution: Microsoft Teams, Cisco Codecs, Crestron tablets and Cisco)

  • Collaborate in the development of the operational processes of the implementation of Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)

  • Deployment, configuration and maintenance of new Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) in the Microsoft Teams infrastructure, monitor room adoption

  • Unified Communications Manager infrastructure support and updates

  • Support and updates for "Unity Connection" (voicemail)

  • Support and updates for "Expressway-C and E", including Mobile Remote Access (iPhone, iPad, remote PC), Business to Business (external video conferencing to internal, Audio Edges for integration between "Unified Communications Manager" and WebEx)

  • Telephony management (SIP Gateways, Unified Communications Manager, WebEx Control Hub, Audio Edge, Jabber)

  • TMS Support and Phonebook Infrastructure Management

  • CMS and CNM infrastructure updates and support

  • Maintain the MediaPlatform infrastructure, including its edge servers and cloud integration, as well as our studio including a Haivision encoder

  • Webex Events, Training et Conferencing (infrastructure component support)

  • Relocation and relocation of branches (video conference rooms)

  • Support for change management (communication and training)

  • Work in an agile way in a possible team dedicated to communication and collaboration tools

  • Work closely with the infrastructure team and the user experience support team


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of unified communications and telephony infrastructure

  • University degree in Computer Science

  • Analytical mind, structured and rigorous reasoning

  • Team spirit, efficiency and being able to adapt quickly

  • Professionalism and concern for a job well done

  • Resourceful, autonomous, self-taught and dynamic

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to draft documents in a clear and structured manner

  • Ability to solve problems in emergency situations

  • English and French, spoken and written
