1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time

Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .8 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .799 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits

Shift: FULLY REMOTE - 1st Shift - Flexible 7AM - 5PM with periodic off-hours work

Summary:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Epic Core management systems and underlying Cache databases for Froedtert Health (FH). Typical tasks include working on the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of underlying hardware, operating systems, and databases relating to the Epic infrastructure; developing the Epic environment strategy; resolving problem calls; and proactively monitoring systems for performance problems, capacity issues, and intrusion. The position will work closely with leadership to ensure that the Epic infrastructure delivers at a service level consistent with organizational risk, information access requirements, and business strategies. This position will work closely with other team members to promote teamwork, stewardship, and accountability. This person must provide updates regarding the performance and availability of the Epic infrastructure and proactively work to resolve problems. This position works to improve or maintain a high level of system performance through the implementation of sound technologies and the consistent use of generally accepted best practices. This role will also provide consulting on IT initiatives as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Four or more years of relevant database administration experience is required.

Knowledge of computer principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or acquired through a combination of education and experience is required.

Other information:

Epic Operational Database Administrator Certification.

Advanced understanding of Unix commands.

Able to demonstrate advanced analysis (problem solving) skills.

Good interpersonal skills in communications with all levels of hospital personnel, vendors and IT staff.

Able to identify and initiate process improvement tasks.

Create advanced automated scripts.
