Job Purpose: To become a technical expert within the platform Squad that is running the automation tool puppet. The DevOps engineer role includes programming (infra as code), data driven operations, analysis, problem solving, project execution and ensuring a good quality of service. This person can work in an Agile way within a multinational team supporting AXA Partners across Globally. Key Accountabilities: Engineer (Build) and test solutions, document accordingly and handover to operations team Provide 3rd level support to the operations teams (on & offshore) Undertake project activities Drive process improvement initiatives (e.g. Automation, documentation & transition to offshore team) Support pro-active maintenance, including software upgrades, patching, hardening, vulnerability management, capacity management, inventory management Ensure that agreed service levels are met Ensure audit compliance is maintained to agreed levels Measures: Project tasks completed to "on time, on budget on specification" (OTOBOS) standard Meet Target Letter KPI for man-days lost as a result of P1 incidents Operational targets for incident resolution, work request processing, etc. Zero outages resulting from lack of maintenance, inadequately planned changes, etc. Performance issues are identified and resolved with no customer impact Audit/compliance deliverables maintained within deadlines Dimensions Impacted By Job: 23000 virtual and physical servers running Linux and windows OS, managed by Puppet. On Premise, Private and Public cloud (aws/azure): Infrastructure as a Service Infrastructure as Code Puppet Enterprise infrastructure Terraform code to provision servers Puppet code to provision/configure servers PQL queries to help in data driven operations Version Control system (github) Your Profile Skills And Experience: Experience managing: Code Development Problem solving Data analysis Debugging Infrastructure management Windows and/or Linux knowledge Experience working with Devops/agile methodologies: Knowledge of data analysis Very good expertise in programming and debugging Have interest in Infrastructure technologies (Network, virtualization, OS, storage, middlewares, ) allowing to have pro-active and efficient discussions with various AXA Go teams to bring solutions during incidents or projects. Process oriented thinking, structured approach and familiarity with the ITIL process of an international enterprise scale IT Service delivery organization with offshore presence Communicative and team-minded personality with a high sense of responsibility and quality, and the ability to create plans and coordinate the delivery over multiple teams.
