Dev Ops Engineer Remote UK

Our clients are in a growth phase and require a DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.

This role is new for the business, but you will be part of a wider development team supporting the IP product. The core product currently comprises Linux, Asterisk, Whitebeam (legacy JS in Apache), NodeJS, and Perl, focusing on NodeJS to provide external interfaces.



Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development teams to implement and maintain a continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using AWS

• Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure

• Monitor and maintain AWS infrastructure

• Automate deployment and scaling processes

• Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery

• Implement security measures and monitor security compliance

• Participate in the design and implementation of cost optimisation strategies



Role requirements:

• Experience in AWS and DevOps practices

• Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and CloudFormation

• Strong experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Strong scripting skills in Python/Bash

• Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, TravisCI, or CircleCI

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools

• Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
