Our client is looking for a Sales Director to and account manage Telecoms Service Providers in South Africa. The client is bringing to the market a new cloud-native digital BSS stack including real-time charging, CPQ, Billing, loyalty, and wholesale solutions, and already has major contracts in the region.
This will be on a contractual engagement given they do not have a payroll set up in South Africa.
The successful candidate will meet our client's customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Ability to execute the strategies successfully for achieving financial targets.
Building long term relationships with existing and new customers to boost sales and enhance brand value in this region.

Roles and Responsibilities

Building & Maintaining healthy relationship with prospective and new customers especially at CXO level.
New Business Development in Region – South Africa
Key account Management - Strategic engagement with telecommunications service providers (like MTN).
Region based marketing Initiatives and events execution.
Timely visibility & reporting & deal review to Management in Region.
Manage & build sales pipeline and validate opportunities.
Maintain & forecast cash flows.

Skill Set and Experience

Existing C level contact in region.
Prior experience with Operator and BSS vendor operations.
Working experience with cross functional global teams.
Should have strong problem solving, analytical skills and Good communication.
Commercial acumen to build revenues thru innovative ideas.
Product selling capabilities.
Preferred knowledge of industry-based telecom standards.
Track record of selling & delivering & maintain over 2-5 Mn Euro Business.
8+ years’ experience in Operator or Product & SI companies.

Minimum Qualification / Education

Marketing with Engineering candidates.
Preferred certification course in domain telecom, agile certifications.

Target Companies / Industry

Preferred industry is CSP (communications service providers), System Integrator, Product Company, solution-based companies.
Preference is for start-up experience.

Salary Package
