This role works closely with application development, security and multi-functional leads in the management of all web changes. This role is responsible for management and knowledge of the change lifecycle for all releases and technical implications of such changes. Sets and communicates delivery timelines and coordinates resources to align with projects, enhancements and production fixes. Owns version control of code being developed and ensures integrity in collaboration with development teams. Identifies and drives process improvements to handle multiple work streams in support of customer facing web solutions. Provides input to release go/no go meetings and ensures web related components are manages as part of cutover night activities.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the deployment of new builds and hot-fixes and maintain a current view of the Configuration in each of the non-production environments.
  • Coordinate build deployment to testing environments with the applicable Consultant Testing, infrastructure, Application Lifecycle Management and development teams.
  • Validate fixed defects lifecycle, maintain hot-fix tools, Quality Center and CQ Tools in sync.
  • Maintain upgrade and sync plans across environments.
  • Implement a Hot-Fix review process, and environment alignment toward a "Golden Environment" (i.e., an environment containing the code build and hot-fixes that will eventually be deployed to USCC's production environment).
  • Maintain configuration changes in-line with testing, performance and production needs.
  • Lead release targeting and bundling discussions with key project and business team members, recommending options for deployment based on resources, technology coupling options and business needs alignment.
  • Report on release level quality metrics for the ongoing measurement and improvements of release processes.
  • Lead all working sessions for the development, review and approval of all production work in preparation for testing and production deployments.
  • Execute cutover plan on release nights, driving issue resolution for the completion of all tasks within the defined maintenance window.
  • Ensure that policy, regulatory and control requirements are met through execution of standard transition checklists and procedures
  • Create change request documentation and works with the Change Management team to ensure all scheduled and emergency changes take place with little or no impact to the business.
  • Engage and align with Web Operations and development team resources in driving the release strategy, processes and roadmap for all foreseen development and deployments.
  • Coordinate all release / configuration / change management-related tasks for the turnover preparation, planning and implementation of software builds into preproduction and production environment.
  • Ensure that all changes are implemented after all forms of testing (unit, functional and user acceptance) are conducted and certified.
  • Report on the progress and issues of ongoing release activities to all impacted partners.
  • Proactively identify and report potential issues and risks and work with relevant parties to resolve them or advance them to the project / application team.
  • Maintain release level documentation in a well-organized / easy to access set of procedures and technologies.
  • Support cross organization work level assignments and process improvement initiatives with key business operation teams
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with team members across the organization.


Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years web development and release management experience supporting user facing applications.
  • Experienced knowledge in IT infrastructure management, web technologies, self-service applications, web and mobile testing.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Proficient in code management and issue tracking solutions.
  • Proficient knowledge of principles and practices in Agile.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team, with experience advising and influencing multi-functional teams, mitigating conflicts, improving relationships and developing solutions.
  • Detail oriented to handle customer requirements, product understanding and ongoing product catalog management.
  • Thrives in a fast paced, changing environment where speed to market is meaningful and timelines must be adhered to in support of the brand and web user experience.
  • Skill and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Develops communication plans on ongoing activities.
  • Experience with concurrent website release methods / tools.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in creating and handling CI/CD pipeline components.
  • Knowledge in running code mergers, branches, and versions.
