Summary of Essential Job Functions
Partners with CIO, Director of Infrastructure and Director of Development to lead the technology infrastructure strategy and execution for the enterprise, supporting a highly successful and rapid growth environment for fast transaction financial data and a scalable web infrastructure based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Provide flexible and scalable levels of service and technical assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Develop strong relationships with peers to ensure services and solutions meet their needs and establish measures, processes, service levels, and reporting procedures to ensure repeatable operations.
Develops the engineering and technology management capabilities of the organization, managing and developing existing staff as well as recruitment.
Provide an environment of predictable services, managed data capacity and planning, proactive service and system troubleshooting, and rapid response.
Build and manage a team to support Telecom services, including Avaya PBX, and VoIP solutions.
Development of enterprise standards and technology architecture and the IT operations governance process.
Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly-available Unix server and Telecom architectures.
Manage the infrastructure and technology change control process ensuring that change is effectively transitioned to the production environment via the agreed Operations acceptance criteria.
Leadership and Direction - effective planning and communication of business objectives to employees, ensuring staff understand the current environment and its boundaries as well as facilitating future changes.

BS/BA degree in computer science, management information systems or a closely related technical discipline. Certifications for Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft and VMware a plus.
A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a technical management role with sCompanytantial knowledge of all facets of IT operations management, high availability network, disaster recovery architectures, including application hosting in a VMware environment, voice and data networks, F5 security and information protection.
10 years' experience with computer operations in a fast transaction, high availability environment.
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux Server and database technologies (Solaris).
Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies.
Working knowledge of Avaya-based network communications technology.
Working knowledge and detailed understanding of VoIP, SIP and SBC.
Exposure and understanding of Service Management concepts and adoption.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Visio, Access (relational database structures), and PowerPoint.
Proven IT leadership and staff development skills in a regulated industry.
BS Degree and or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.
Comfortable managing highly-available complex infrastructure with 24/7 availability and support.
Experience with regulatory compliance.
Direct experience managing technical resources.
