The Vice President - Infrastructure Build establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for their areas of responsibility, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for overseeing the functional infrastructure design and build areas of servers, storage, cloud and database administration. Provide guidance to these departments, including specifications and communications about systems, applications, and processes. Partner with local area Vice President Peers (Infrastructure Operations, Network Security Solutions, Customer Solutions Support, Unified Communication Solutions, and Facilities) to ensure collaboration occurs within partner disciplines.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Assist with the management of the Infrastructure team ensuring that there are adequate resources, skills, and succession plans to support existing and future business needs.
Assist in ensuring the day to day Infrastructure is performing and secure, and that any performance and risk issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of KPS and KRIs, in conjunction with the CTO, CIO and CISO, to monitor Infrastructure performance and produce required reports monthly.
Assist in the facilitation of competency/knowledge management and succession planning within the IT organization.
Assist in enhancing the incident handling program to identify and classify problems based upon priority and severity impact. Conduct root cause analysis for incidents which result in the highest priority and severity. Modify policies, procedures, and processes based upon root cause analysis. Determine the appropriate methods for reporting on incidents.
Drive project and enhancement work to successful implementation.
Foster relationships with Business Line Information System (BLIS) Officers.
Provide oversight and guidance to leaders and engineering staff.
Oversee vendor relationships for technologies within purview.
Provide leadership and guidance for changes within the infrastructure.
Be a point of escalation as necessary into area of responsibility.
Represent Infrastructure in collaborative meetings with Information Security.
Represent Infrastructure as necessary in regulatory meetings.
Set overall tone of professionalism, leading with strategy and accountability.
Provide direction and leadership to the infrastructure engineering team.
Manage, direct and appraise the work of a group of employees and contractors.
Develop and inspire a best-in-class team fostering the highest quality talent while scaling to meet business challenges.
Cultivate a strong culture and engagement, ensuring engineers are committed and excited about their work.
Analyze the needs within area of responsibility and establish priorities for the department.
Design process improvements and oversee implementation of new and modified processes for the area.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10 + years of related experience.
Demonstrated leadership in system engineering including: Networks, computer and database systems, AWS or Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows and Mac OS and accompanying hardware, Linux System Administration.
Demonstrated experience developing, leading and supporting an IT vision and direction including developing long- and short-term strategic IT plans, developing the associated financial analyses and translating budgeted plans into tactical, actionable operational initiatives.
Experience establishing and directing information technology policy and practice across regional locations and facilities to support banking systems.
Ability to analyze issues and determine the root cause and develop plans to resolve and build team capabilities to do the same.
Understanding and appreciation for how best to measure service delivery, service levels, and overall efficiency of the department.
Must have excellent organizational skills, an attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal and customer service skills.
