Test associate remote role from Redmond WA and must be local to the area. Having Pokemon knowledge is a huge plus. Similarly, knowledge of the Pokmon TCG and/or Pokmon video games will help, but are not required. Past web testing and/or mobile testing experience as theres where a majority of the testing will occur.

Job Description:
In this position, candidates will be expected to work two websites, a mobile app, and a desktop app centered around finding, signing up for, and organizing Pokemon-related (Trading Card Game and Video Game) tournaments. This is a more senior-like testing position where testers will also be in charge of leading the execution of smaller tasks, reporting on the status/health of features tested, and propose process changes to increase the efficiency and/or quality of our work.

Core Responsibilities Include:
Consistently write high quality and accurate bugs across multiple areas of a title
Provide training on areas of expertise and mentor junior testers
Report on status of team tasks or assignments, as well as areas of improvement
Use tools to facilitate tasks, streamline processes, and gather data
Identify and propose resolutions to risks and problems encountered across the team
Lead execution of tasks, coordinating efforts, ensuring efficiency, and verifying accuracy of work

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
Self-starter, anticipates problems, takes proactive actions, and communicates resolutions
General understanding of major milestones for a typical software development cycle
Knowledge of common testing methodologies and how they can be applied
Experience testing websites and mobile applications in a professional environment
2+ years of experience testing software
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Associate or Bachelors in Computer Science is a plus

Preferred Skills:
High attention to detail
Proficient with MS Excel, bug databases and test case management software
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of Windows and/or Mac platforms
Ability to use data to drive test efforts
Knowledge of how to use Chrome DevTools is a plus
