We require someone with Technical Project and Programme Management experience in network infrastructure and telecommunications engineering. Experienced in managing and delivering large scale technical projects, processes, and programs for networks.

The role in summary:

This is a leadership role, and whilst technical competency is critical, the leadership of successful teams and setting people up for success is equally critical. For this role, we require a results-focused, agile professional who can work at PACE across large-scale operations. Experience in complex Change and Programme Management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work "client-side". This function is responsible for determining, defining, testing, and developing the network technologies that this business deploys. This includes network, OSS, and process developments to successfully meet not only the business but also the industry objectives.

Business Function:

Overall accountability for design and protection of the organisation's network. The unit is of high strategic impact to the core business and customer service with a huge suite of IT and technology programs.

Experience Required:

Previous experience of working in a large scale, complex network.
Working-level experience of agile principles/practices.
Experience of offering solutions to the most complex problems.
Deep understanding of the interaction between the customer, Operations, Network Management as well as planning and implementing complex changes.
High level of technical project management experience (preferable agile), managing large virtual teams to deliver complex business critical operational and change projects against challenging timescales and to budget.
Recognised as an SME for in-life Operations, migrations and 2nd / 3rd line support.Responsibilities:

Lead a team to deliver exceptional performance at individual, team, and service level, ensuring short and long term integrity of networks.
Accountable for all complex in-life network changes for all Ultrafast, Superfast, Ethernet, and Optical products.
Accountable for Service impacting and non-service impacting network changes.
Accountable for change management in the Network including final network testing and rollout of the technology.
Overall accountability for 14m CAPEX budget that delivers all NGA Network upgrades for new products, services and network resilience.
Using technical insight of network performance to proactively engage the appropriate teams and deliver business improvement initiatives.
Create a culture of continuous improvement within the team, which strives to identify and develop cost reduction and revenue generation initiatives.
Ownership of the team resourcing plan: managing contention and prioritisation within the work stack; manage and encourage development and succession plans; and overall budget management for the team.
Responsible for overseeing, resolving and mitigating risks and issues within the Technical support team.More info about the role:

The Telecoms Network Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading a team of technical experts to ensure that the in-life management of the Superfast, Ultrafast, Ethernet and Optical networks, which underpin 2bn revenue, are meeting committed measures.

Accountable for all complex in-life network changes, network migrations and network testing before change rollout. You will have a strong understanding of a complex network ecosystem underpinning the in-life experience of over 15m customers.

By successfully motivating and leading a multiskilled team of people tasked with developing network change and in life management you will underpin a great customer experience through outstanding operations, enabled to deliver reliable service on time, first time and efficiently.
