Telecommunications Technical Support Engineer
£30'000 - £44'000 + Progression, Pension Scheme and 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
Excellent role on offer for a Telecommunications Support Engineer looking to build a career within an established and growing company. This is an exciting senior role reporting directly to the Technical Director and training and mentoring three apprentice support engineers.

This market leading company provide specialist Telecommunications services and are an established technology integrator. They are now looking for a Telecommunications Support Engineer to become a key part of the company supporting clients and cutomers.
In this fully autonomous role, you will be based in the Gloucester office within a tight knit team consisting of two other Telecommunications Support Engineer and three training apprentices. You will have the backing of excellent technical services, and a glowing industry reputation, as you progress your career into a senior support team management position.
This role would ideally suit a candidate with a good technical knowledge of networking equipment, experience in Telecommunications and Technical support and excellent interpersonal skills.
*Fault Finding and managing fault tickets from start to finish
*Customer/End User Support
*Maintaining internal team networks

*Office based role (Remote working to start due to COVID)
*Telecommunications Support or similar technical support experience
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Knowledge of SDH, PDH and Cellular and Wireless Networking
*Familiarity with test equipment such as BERT's, cellular scanners, multimetres, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, optical power meters and light sources
* Ideally educated to HNC level or above in a telecommunications field
*Experience with at least one of the following systems: Linux, Solaris or Windows servers
