Qualifications Two-year technical degree desired. IT network and telecommunications applications experience required. Monitoring experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of IT Networking and telecommunications. Understanding of methods and processes of business units supported. Demonstrates timely and effective response to customer and team member needs. Ability to work on enterprise systems and equipment. Ability to analyze multiple alarm systems and trouble reports. Ability to perform remote maintenance of enterprise equipment. Strong aptitude for technical understanding. Ability to interact with various departments, and internal and external customer groups, to perform necessary telecommunications work. Awareness of customer requirements, with emphasis on major initiatives. Ability to set priorities. Ability to respond effectively to diverse demands. Ability to provide personal availability and maintain rotation on call status. Ability to lift 45 pounds. Ability to see and distinguish between colors. Ability to work shift rotations. Responsibilities Under general supervision, performs moderately complex tasks related to enterprise monitoring, remote network and circuit testing, coordination of complex application issues with multiple groups, installation, andor maintenance. May be assigned specific projects within an individual business unit. o Provision and manage the transport network used to provide datavoice communications to locations and monitor the datavoice networks and critical applications for alarms including Critical substations and electricgas SCADA networks Data Centers at Innsbrook and OJRP Nuclear stations and other critical locations Corp Security Fusion Center network o Provide central management of leased services telecommunication issues and act as liaison with the telecom carriersrsquo support and field personnel o Work with IT telecom technicians to provision, test, and turn up new voice and data circuits o Coordinate repair of circuits and network elements with IT Telecom and provide centralized testing support o Communicate and coordinate network repair schedules and changes with critical infrastructure clients (SOC, ROCs, et al) o Provide after hours Help Desk support CommentsSpecial Instructions Please note that these positions will start as day shift for initial training that could last for a few months followed by transition to a 12 hour 630pm to 630am night shift. (One Sun, Mon, Tues the second Wed, Thur, Fri with a Sat night shift each cycle to make 40hrs per week.) Future shiftschedule and timing will be determined by project demands as well as training requirements. Flexibility is highly desirable in this regard.
