Telecommunication Expense Management Analyst

TEM - Responsible for maintaining the Telecom Expense Management portal for maintaining inventory and invoice approvals.
Provisioning - Responsible with working with carriers to procure quotes and coordinate the installation of voice and data circuits across the company environment.
Vendor Relationships - Responsible for representing the company and maintaining efficient vendor relationships to support vendor account management for all telecommunications services across the Company.
Vendor Accounts Reconciliation/Consolidation - Drive account consolidation with vendors where possible for common services across the Company.
Assist with special project requests for individual corporate end users as well as functional evaluations. (ie Validation of charges for a particular device, budget projections, internal audit, etc.)
Respond to a variety of verbal and written requests for information from internal sources and may respond to like requests for information from authorized external parties and/or agencies.
Coordinate, track, and report on the progress of specific work assignments and projects.
May provide direction and guidance to other ITS staff and participate in presentations to users and management.
Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

Experience working within an enterprise Telecommunications environment.
Business Intelligence software: Crystal Reports, BusinessObjects
Knowledge of network and telephony infrastructure.
Experience with Telecom Expense Management solutions (Tangoe, Calero, MDSL, or similar).
Experience working within a Telecommunications Cost Center environment is a plus.
General knowledge of IT Service Management products.
Experience with ServiceNow and/or SAP beneficial.
Experience working within a Private Telecommunications Voice Network environment is a plus.

Typically requires a bachelors degree and six or more years' experience in an IT and/or Telecom Expense Management administrative support capacity, with focus in Telecommunications billing or related area.
Familiarity with telecommunications terms, service types and carrier billing platforms.
Prior experience with ordering and provisioning voice and data circuits.
Must have an understanding of standard billing/invoice practices and demonstrate proficient mathematical skills to analyze and process billing.
Able to study telecom details and formulate expense reduction models.
Thorough and required knowledge about different modes of telecommunications and the way the costs generated from them works.
Knowledge and understanding of financial oversight and management including billing, accruals, allocations, budgeting, and forecasting. Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply financial expertise to telecom contracts and invoices
Working knowledge of telecommunications tariff cost structures, LEC, CLEC and IXC carrier billing and associated interconnection products.
Experience with and understanding of vendor Customer Service Records (CSR's) is required. Ability to read and understand vendor invoices and the various voice and data USOC products billed. Familiarity with GL codes.
Experience managing data, voice and cellular carrier billing, procurement and contract negotiation.
Must have extensive knowledge of computer operations and applications to include proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Access, SAP and others. Must also be able to quickly learn new computer applications and carrier portal/Vendor tools (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) - administration of data and reports.
Proficient in principles of Accounting. Experience in Accounts Payable preferred.
Must able to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of personnel, including management, customers, and vendors, and respond to issues or situations that require interpretation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to accurately document and report information with internal and external partners.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, and be customer service oriented.
Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible to change.
Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must have the ability to maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Must be able to work extended hours as required.
