Wireless Program Manager

Our Telecom Team has a need for a strong Telecommunications Program Management professional who will initially work with the Jacobs Project Management Organization (PMO) for the Los Angeles World Airport ("LAWA") Wireless system deployment, a multi-year program that involves the coordination of a multi-carrier effort to design and construct wireless systems into the terminals and other facilities on LAWA property. LAWA is redeveloping/upgrading all terminals and this work is to be closely collaborated and coordinated with the LAWA Development team along with the individual wireless carriers and their third-party vendors. This individual's responsibilities include:

* Manage day to day operations related to a particular project(s) for the program
* Coordinate all direct labor staffing and resources allocated to program
* Collaborate with the LAWA development team and third-party vendors on all schedules for the build out that affect the wireless build out schedule
* Collaborate with the LAWA development team on design related issues that arise during the course of the program, working to get the best possible solution for both LAWA and the wireless carriers that are involved
* Coordinate accurate, up to date reporting of project status, scheduling, and planning
* Work with other members of the PMO team to Interface with the clients' program office for all program related matters to include, but not limited to, scheduling, subcontractors, site conditions, invoicing and construction close out
* supervise the administrative and construction staff progress relative to assigned projects
* Conduct weekly meetings with client and project staff to review progress
* Be knowledgeable of Project status for your particular programs at all times
* Oversee project financials, including managing billing and receivable process
* Consult with senior managers on hiring and performance management issues and reviews
* Provide activity reporting and forecasting of revenues, margins, manpower and all required resources to more senior management
* Build and maintain superior client relations
* Coach employees for improved performance
* Ensure project team is using Jacobs and client reports, accounting systems, and other administrative work accurately and on schedule
* Ensure coordination among all functions in the system, both within Jacobs and our client
* Build a positive committed team
* 7 years Construction Project Management experience in the wireless telecommunications industry required, with a thorough understanding and experience of the design and Implementation of wireless systems
* Ability to coordinate work and share resources with other managers on the team is required
* Modified work schedule, at times, to overlap with night shift required
* Travel required
* Bachelors' Degree strongly preferred
* Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a highly interdependent multi-disciplined team of individual contributors preferred
* Highly organized and disciplined with proven time management skills preferred
* Strong computer background, MS Office, Project and Excel preferred
* Must be eligible to work for any US Employer without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
* Local candidates preferred

Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting to 20 pounds. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and work at heights.
