POSITION : Telecom Product Manager DEPARTMENT : Information Technology - 300 REPORTING SUPERVISOR : Telecom Manager DIRECT REPORTS : No FLSA : Exempt EMPLOYMENT STATUS : Direct Hire TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS : Up to 10% local or Overnight travel may be required SCHEDULE : Standard West Coast business hours with the possibility of occasional nights or weekends as needed ABOUT THE TEAM The Telecom team operates in a tight-knit, collaborative environment. ABOUT THE JOB As a Telecom Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the on-time release of high-quality Telecommunication features, products and services of the enterprise telephony environment for our offices and contact centers. Primary responsibilities will include interviewing key stakeholders on required product functionality, defining those requirements, developing design specifications, and working with internal teams and 3rd party vendors to coordinate on time releases. RESPONSIBILITIES aC/ Support our strategic company goals and telecommunication needs through leading the Telecom product requirements process and documenting the Telecom features and solutions by analyzing business requirements documents, collaborating with internal stakeholders to create Telecom feature and systems requirements, organizing Telecom feature and systems requirements into proposed sprints / product phases, and creating cross-team agreement on requirements and scope aC/ Lead the user experience design and documentation for telecommunication features and solutions by taking the product requirements as input, collaborating with the Telecom, Care Center and other teams on user experience design, documenting the high-level user experience design for approval, and providing this information to the Telecom Engineering teams and 3rd party vendors for implementation aC/ Work with Telecom Manager and Telecom Engineers in prioritizing the release / deployment to make sure the balance of tactical work along with companyas fiscal year strategic initiatives are met. aC/ Perform competitive analysis for Telecom features and solutions on an ongoing basis aC/ Coach and mentor other Telecom team members on product management activities aC/ Work closely with PMO to ensure that milestones in Telecom features and solutions launch, and maintenance are being tracked and communicated across the company aC/ Regularly and thoroughly groom teamas backlogs (at least once prior to a sprint planning meeting) to stay informed and on top of feature requests, priorities. aC/ Support feature releases, deployment calls, and running standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Telecom teams as necessary aC/ Assist with business case development for Telecom solutions as necessary aC/ Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience Certification(s): Certified Product Owner or equivalent Preferred Experience: aC/ Minimum 5 years of experience in a Product Management, Program Management or similar role required aC/ Minimum 5 years of experience in a Telecommunications environment preferred aC/ Prior experience of Telecom project ownership preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: aC/ Knowledge of Telecommunication systems aC/ Knowledge of Call Center operations aC/ Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint aC/ Demonstrated experience administering Telecommunication systems. aC/ Demonstrated documentation skills Personal Attributes required for this position: aC/ Great conflict prevention and resolution skills aC/ Collaborative and open-minded attitude towards all teams involved with product development aC/ Hands-on approach
