Join us as we take the next step on our journey to building the premier utility. JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Responsible for overseeing Telecom operations and support at the regional level. The Supervisor ensures that Telecom performance expectations are met at the regional level and that the services delivered enable business unit customers to perform their functions at maximum efficiency. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure adherence to company work and safety rules. Monitor SLA performance and customer satisfaction. Prioritize work assignments, review and approve time sheets and vacation requests; provide written activity reports. Work directly with project management and engineering staff to support the successful implementation of large capital projects. Perform site surveys, verify material receipt, schedule crews, and verify project documentation. Coordinate, provide, and/or assist with the technical support of Entergy owned transport systems including digital microwave radio systems, 800Mhz P25 digital radio system, fiber optic transport systems, digital multiplexers, and ancillary equipment. Requisition materials and test equipment needed to provide system support; recommend technical training needed to provide system support. Participate in the Telecom 24 hour on-call rotation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum education required of the position Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent work experience. Minimum experience required of the position Formal training and/or extensive experience in the following areas is required: MPLS and MEF ethernet service (L2vpn) delivery preferred. Fiber transport systems including Nokia DWDM, Adtran 6100, Ciena 5100 / 3926, SEL ICON, Cisco routers, and RFL. 800Mhz P25 digital radio system. Aviat digital microwave radio systems, and digital multiplex systems (DACS). Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing support in the following areas. Experience in provisioning and testing DS-3 and DS-1 circuits. Experience in supporting P25 digital radio systems, fiber optic transmission systems, and microwave radio systems is required. Experience in leading Telecom support activities Experience with adhering to standard change management processes, to include creating required documentation evaluating change impacts, etc. Conduct field safety audits of employees and contractors, manage and maintain regional capitol and O expenditures, and willingness to lead teams outside of his/her region to provide direct storm support in affected areas.Applicant must possess good customer service skills and have the ability to interface with customers and supervision using good communications skills, both verbal and written.
