Position Description: Vocera is currently looking for a Sr. Product Manager to lead our mobile applications products. You will define and deliver the next generation of essential tools used by frontline physicians and nurses to deliver life-saving care. The product manager will clearly define and prioritize Vocera's mobile application approach, ensuring the team has a fundamental understanding of what we are trying to accomplish and why it is meaningful, both to the company and the customer. This position will report to the Director, Product Management, Platform and Clients.


* Definition and prioritization
* Lead efforts around defining, implementing, and launching mobile and web applications, and communications APIs
* Define a product roadmap that meets customer needs, takes advantage of industry trends, and is well positioned against market threats
* Be the voice of the customer internally by connecting with customers regularly to understand their unique needs and challenges
* Collaborate with customers, partners, and cross functional teammates to define near-term and long-term product requirements
* Assist in managing mobile application beta users

* Supportability and Improvements
* Select the tools and practices required to better monitor and run the service
* Develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, and improve program and product success

* Market Approach and Fit
* Work with the team on the go-to-market approach, key messaging, collateral, and pricing
* Report on market trends that will impact product success, including but not limited to regulatory requirements
* Act as the technical expert, product advocate and key spokesperson for Vocera mobile applications

* Maintain partnerships with support, engineering, and sales partners
* Understand technical details while championing the needs of the user
* Partner with engineering in a SAFe Agile environment


* Dedicated and customer oriented, comfortable meeting and speaking with customers at the executive level
* History of creating product requirements with a focus on user experience and the why
* Translate tactical customer requests into strategic delighters
* Maintain a product vision while defining small, fast, incremental improvements
* Excellent project management, problem-solving, and data-driven critical thinking skills
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; including the ability to present complex concepts persuasively across audiences at varying levels of the organization
* Ability to build business cases and prioritize programs that support business outcomes
* Track record of working with dynamic cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, operations, customer service, and senior management
* Proven experience leading multiple complex projects concurrently


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent
* 8+ years' experience with mobile and/or web applications, including 3+ years in Product Management
* Customer driven with deep belief and experience in user testing and User Centered Design methodologies
* Experience building, deploying, and maintaining APIs or comparable technology
* Fundamental knowledge of mobile and web architectures
* Experience in a healthcare setting and/or an understanding of the US healthcare system is preferred
* Working knowledge of HIPAA and PII use in healthcare IT systems is preferred
* Experience working with SAFe based product development process, and Atlassian tools, as product owner is preferred
* Cloud based SaaS product experience preferred
* Travel up to 25% of the time
* Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required
