Description Major Purpose Under the general direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the position will play an integral part in the company's transformation initiatives including but not limited to managing the Networking, Cloud, Collaboration, and Telecom Teams. The position shall provide leadership and management of Information Services Delivery, which includes the service definition, service roadmaps, architecture, engineering, level 3, and level 2 support, controls, operational metrics and reporting, license and capacity management, and budget management. This Senior Manager is responsible for information service management and control, including supervision of employees and contractors at multiple sites; technology reviews and recommendations; vendor services management for area of responsibility as appropriate; budget preparation and management; recommendations for technical acquisitions; and the development of guidelines, standards and procedures. The Senior Manager is charged with planning and implementation of technologies in this area of responsibility, tactical actions, and operational decision-making. The person in this position must possess initiative and drive, have broad relevant technical knowledge with demonstrated management expertise and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.The Senior Manager is primarily responsible for engaging with strategic clients to assist with vision, architecture, design, build and deployment of solutions. This role requires collaboration with various departments including IT leadership, business leaders, development teams, vendors, third party service providers, support teams, and internal IT service delivery teams to gather requirements, design and delivery solutions that meet functional and non- functional requirements while managing to cost, quality, controls and financial constraints. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage team and resource workloads including projects. Prioritizes assignments to ensure alignment with company goals and initiatives in a dynamic environment. Manage any managed services or outsourced relationships for cloud, network, and telecom vendors Responsible for hiring, developing, mentoring and promoting engineering resourcesMinimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Must successfully complete the pre-employment screening process Min 10 Years of comprehensive and deep experience in IT Networking & Telecom managing large, complex enterprise environments 5+ years in technical operations, architecture, or equivalent progressive roles 5+ years in supervisory or management capacity 5+ years' experience in leading projects Extensive knowledge of data center operations, telecommunications, network engineering, data center applications, client/server computing, and production operations support, best practices, and technologiesAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Specific technologies of note include but not limited to Cisco infrastructure, Checkpoint, Citrix infrastructure, Brocade, Microsoft Server & Client operating system and infrastructure applications, VMware, Citrix, EMC Enterprise-level SANs, VoIP/SIP telecom, Genesys telecom platform, and multi-carrier WANs. Strong leadership and management abilities. Ability to lead cross-functional project teams in implementing projects of a complex nature. Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDA, CCIE, ITIL Foundations or equivalent data / telecom network operational experience required A deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between infrastructure, information security and the applications/services they enable as well as the criticality of maintaining strong connections between the respective teams within IT. This position requires a proven track record in managing 24X7 IT infrastructure operations Experience leading technical teams comprised of architects, engineers and operations teams Experienced in Solution Architecture, program management, engineering, vendor management, project management and network support Ability to engage in detailed technical discussions, strong analytic reasoning and problem solving skills Strong time management, research, and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident speaker with ability to present, interact, and connect with executives, engineers and technical contacts. Ability to understand and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise mann Strong personal desire to improve and expand industry-related knowledge You are a good communicator a have the ability to build, coach and lead a team, strong collaboration style to ensure services quality and engagement with other IT teams. Experience in related IT disciplines such as data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, database administration and outsourced systems. Demonstrated critical thinking and planning at a strategic, global level. Ability to translate strategic plans into specific objectives, and to create and execute project plans to achieve objectives. Strong preference for experience with devops, software defined infrastructure and restful APIs. Proficiency with scripting languages (PERL, Python, Powerscript) and server-side APIs (REST / XML / SOAP). Solid understanding of agile development, devops and testing methodologies Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Persuasive, professional communication style. Capable of communicating complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences. Ability to interact with senior management and influence decision makers Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities, and to redirect managers and teams toward new objectives. Excellent understanding of multi-disciplinary nature of IT solutions Ability to see the u0022big picture u0022 across such areas as private and public hosted infrastructure and services, identity management, security, telecommunications, enterprise storage and big data opportunities, end user experience, and training/education. Functional understanding of project management principles and their application to Infrastructure projects and teams. Formal project management expertise is a plus. Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems. Must have strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Provide infrastructure services vision, enable innovation and leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company's requirements and expectations. Lead strategic technology initiatives to build and maintain key elements of the company's enterprise infrastructure and associated project portfolio, including but not limited to 24x7 data center infrastructure management and evolution, mobility and remote access services, ubiquitous wireless networks, enterprise-scale file share environments, active directory integration, software-defined internetworking, and innovative end user computing solutions.
