Sr. Mobile Developer, Android
Applied Resource Group is searching for a Sr. Mobile Developer, Android for one of our clients in the North Atlanta Area. As a Sr. Developer, you will be a part of an Agile team building and working on robust software systems on top of the Android and Microsoft technology stack. The Sr. Developer is involved in all areas of software development from design, development, and testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with other cross-functional team members to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain mobile-based business applications built on Android and Microsoft technologies.
  • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
  • Package and support automated deployment of releases.
  • Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.
  • Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
  • Prepare documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
Job Requirements:
  • Requirements
    • College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
    • 5 - 7 years' experience as a mobile Software Engineer.
    • Android development experience (3+ years).
    • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
    • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
    • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
    • Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch".
    • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
    • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
    • Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.
    • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
    • Experience with automated testing; working on an agile team; multi-threading and concurrency; debugging, performance profiling and optimization.
    • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories.
    Preferred
    • Experience with Kotlin.
    • Experience with mobile and web development technologies on the .NET platform.
    • Experience with database development including relational database design, SQL, and ORM technologies.
    • Experience with user interface design and prototyping.
    • Experience configuring and developing customizations for a wide range of Android and Microsoft platforms.
