Solutions Architect

Location: Fareham
Reporting to: COO
Main Purpose: To liaise with colleagues internally and with external customers as the technical lead in prospective and real projects with focus on ensuring projects are:
1. Well thought through and accurately estimated.
2. Delivered successfully on time and within budget.

Key Activities:
Pre sale: 45%
1. Assist the sales process, to produce viable technical solutions that are well scoped and fully understood.
2. Detail standard product and any customisations required to achieve a successful solution.
3. Produce the Solution Architecture document covering a specific customer deployment.

Post sale: 45%
4. Technically lead projects to a successful conclusion on time and on budget.
5. Managing the technical details of customer requested contract changes.
6. Provide Product Marketing and Engineering with customer feedback regarding potential future product features.

Internal input on current and future developments: 10%
Note: Some travel to customer sites will be required, decided on the basis of need. This may include travel overseas mainly within the European Union and may involve overnight stays.
Executed Standards (Measures of Success):
1. Detailed and agreed Solutions, which provide clarity to all parties involved.
2. Clear, well presented internal and external documentation which provides accurate information.
3. Projects delivered successfully on time and on budget.
4. High levels of customer satisfaction.

1. Freedom to Act: Minimal, supervision of day to day work on assigned projects
2. All customer facing documents and written communications to be peer reviewed as a minimum before being made external.
