At U.S. Bank we're looking for people who want more than just a job - they want to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to lead end-to-end design and develop software to collect digital and marketing clickstream data.The candidate should have thorough understanding of programming languages to automate data collection, data quality and monitoring capabilities - JavaScript, JavaThe candidate should have expertise integrating with enterprise CI/CD pipelines to automate the entire process of software development.The candidate should have platform mindset to design and build a self-service platform.The candidate should strong understanding of design of highly scalable and available systemsThe ideal candidate will have deep expertise when it comes to digital data collection solutioning including alignment and optimization of third-party platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics etc.). with complex enterprise architectures. Prior experience with designing clickstream data collection solution is preferred.Ability to query large amount of data to do analysis using SQL tools or third-party platformsIs able to create clear and well thought out technical designs and considers dependencies, failure states, maintainability, testability and ease of support.Experience in financial services or in retail is preferred.ResponsibilitiesDesign digital data collection solutions that are aligned with U.S. Bank enterprise technology strategyAble to work with teams of developers and business stakeholders to bring solution to lifeManage relationships with various business leaders, architects and engineering managersBuild consensus around solutions that benefit the organizationQualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelors or master's degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of experience in Technology, Financial services or RetailAt least 5 years of experience of in software developmentSkills / ExperienceStrong development experience in programming languages - JavaScript, JavaExperience in automating CI/CD pipeline for performance testing, data quality and monitoring.Familiarity with database data modellingFamiliarity of streaming, REST APITechnical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of softwareKnowledge of data management principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to find creative solutionsExperience working with cloud platformsDevelop, implement, and disseminate metrics about quality, performance and outcomes for various clickstream data implementations across the enterpriseKnowledge of digital products and services, financial services as well as marketing concepts and the bank's (retail/commercial) sales and marketing programs in order to interpret technical or product concepts.Effective verbal, written and presentation skillsAt U.S. Bank, we're passionate about helping customers and the communities where we live and work.
