We are looking for a lead software engineer to join our early stage team that is revolutionizing voice translations and learning new languages.
In this role, you will get to work with the latest AWS, Speech Recognition and Language Understanding technologies in the industry to build voice translation and data solutions to benefit all customers. Design and develop scalable micro-services & end-to-end solutions for translations.
Recruit, hire, and mentor junior engineers.
Work with our stakeholders to understand requirements & communicate progress on deliverables.
Help develop long-term technical strategies in the translation and language learning space.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Bachelors degree (Graduate degree is a plus) in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, related technical discipline
Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and databases
Experience working on an engineering team using Agile processes
Experience with service-oriented architecture & building micro-services
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to ambiguous problems
