We are seeking an energetic, goal-oriented Senior Wireless Systems Engineer who takes pride in providing excellent service to customers and team members. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively engage in customer discussions that enable requirements discoverydevelopment, and translate those requirements into innovative, viable, and cost-effective systems. This position will also be heavily involved with deployment and testing procedure development and will serve as technical oversight for the deployment of the systems. This individual needs to be engaged, open minded, and eager to learn state-of-the-art technical solutions. We seek an individual who is collaborative and desires to be a team member willing to share technical experiences. This person needs to also be willing and able to travel for short periods of time. Minimum Qualifications Ten (10+) years of RF Engineering Ten (10+) years of telecom experience and background Ten (10+) years of client-facing technical role and experience communicating executives Highly proficient Verbal and written communication skills, with strong focus on detail and very strong, proven ability to multitask. Developing and producing solution architecture designs and drawings detailed bill-of-materials system design plans and design review documentation and test and installation plans. Writing proposals, developing basis of estimates, and supporting pre-sales by identifying and qualifying opportunities. Comprehensive understanding of various wireless backhaul solutions to include microwave, mm wave, mesh, and cellular (4G LTE5G) wireless technologies. Experience with performing radio signal propagation studies and producing coverage plots, preferably using ATDI HTZ warfare. Extensive experience with RF and network test equipment (i.e. service monitors, spectrum analyzers, watt meters, Viavi T-BERD 5800 Anritsu S820E, etc.) Extensive experience with deploying wireless systems. Customer focused with an ability to maintain relationships and resolve conflicts. Must successfully pass an FBI National Criminal History Check to obtain credentials for access to customer facilities, when required, and a Medium Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance. Responsibilities Engineer a wide range of wireless communications system solutions including wireless meshMIMO networks, microwave backhaul solutions, point-to-point mm wave systems, privatecommercial 4G LTE5G, LMR systems, and other emerging technologies. Experience with video transmission protocols, video surveillance systems, and video management systems, and integrating into wireless and mesh networks. Experience with multi-site telecommunications network infrastructure including antenna site design, construction, maintenance and management. Experience with networking protocols, including routing and switching technology. Juniper certifications a major plus, but familiarity with SRX 1500 and SRX345 is acceptable. Develop system design documentation, including technical approach narratives, bills of materials (BOMs), and level of effort estimates for installation and deployment of systems. Must also be comfortable with developing system staging, deployment, and testing plans. Must have hands-on experience with deploying wireless systems, and will serve as technical oversight of deployments, to include testing and optimization of the systems. Work with project management to ensure proper solution delivery and be a representative of the technical team in customer meetings. Articulate to customers capabilities of wireless technology and supporting elements of network infrastructure. Be an escalation point for challenging technical issues.
