A bit about us:If you are a Senior Wireless Design Engineer with hands on experience with 5g modeling this is for you. Rapidly growing ultralow-power wireless semiconductor startup with headquarters located in San Diego in addition to offices in Irvine and San Jose. We are developing complete wireless solutions with significantly differentiated power dissipation/performance tradeoffs. Our innovative technology also dramatically improves wireless product flexibility and ease-of-use for product developers. We are looking for driven candidates to join our fast-paced and motivated team to drive excellence in our 5G products. As a System Engineer, you will be working in a design engineering team in modeling 5G Tx/Rx PHY Tx/Rx blocks.The worlds lowest power wireless IoT semiconductor platforms. Desired Skills:Experience in modem architecture, microprocessor architecture, hardware and software control are a plus.Experience and knowledge on High Level Synthesis (HLS), silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus.Experience on bring up real silicon in lab, being able to efficiently use lab equipment (such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc) is a plus.Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols is a plus: 5G/LTE/WCDMA, WiFi(802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/b, BluetoothWhy join us? Excellent work environment Amazing base salary Great benefitsJob DetailsKey Responsibility:Evaluate various algorithms and architectures by implementing Matlab models and analyze performance trade-offsCollaborate with design engineers on microarchitecture and generate test vectors for design verificationWork with design engineers to come up with comprehensive test plans and debug issues.Design and develop signal processing/communication algorithms for wireless MIMO system in 5G ORANModeling of baseband/passband DSP blocks in floating and fixed point formats for optimum performance/area trade-offsIntegrate IP models at SOC level and conduct C/C++ and Matlab simulations to study system performanceGenerate reference model and test vectors in cycle true & bit accurate format for digital IP and SOC verificationWork closely with the digital designer with implementation that meets system requirementsWork with digital design engineer to debug issues found in verificationJob Requirements:PhD with 3+ years of wireless system development experience or MSEE with 5+ yearsProficient in signal processing analysis/modeling skill with Matlab, Python or C/C++In-depth understanding on wireless communication system (OFDM/MIMO, etc),In-depth understanding of digital filter design in floating and fixed point model.Experience in working with digital design team for RTL verification against Matlab modelsStrong understanding of communication theory & signal processing related algorithms design (such as timing recovery, signal estimation and detection, MIMO signal estimation and detection, automatic gain control, channel estimation, equalization, coding theory, beamforming, etc.)
