Chesterfield County is
seeking a Senior Telecom Analyst to perform moves, adds, changes, (MAC's) in an
Avaya Aura CM7.x environment, including all programming and physical
changes. Responsible for backups of all telecom related equipment.
Support Avaya System Manager and Session Manager; support Avaya Aura Messaging
system, including MAC's and backups; perform Contact Center programming
including agent programming, vector and vdn programming. Support and
run complex reports on an Avaya CMS system; support Avaya Application
Enablement Servers (AES); support Avaya Equinox products; support Avaya SAL;
support Avaya Experience Portal (EP) IVR system. Utilize demonstrated
knowledge of VoIP and troubleshooting VoIP issues over a Cisco network.
Utilize demonstrated knowledge of SIP, LD and LEC circuits, T1's, and DS3's, as
well as call routing and reporting for SIP, LD and LEC services. Position
will manage projects and office relocations. Coordinate large and small
office moves to promote a seamless transition for affected customer(s).
Uptivity Call Recording; RedSky E911 software; required to perform
complex vector implementations and changes, engineer voice traffic flow,
recommend intelligent call routing, analyze and
troubleshoot telecommunications issues to resolve outages in a timely
manner and minimize impact to county departments. Perform equipment
upgrades and installation as requested and/or required. Track maintenance
and firmware updates and schedule work accordingly. Perform other work as
required. Position is in an "on-call" rotation for
support. Evening and weekend work will be required. PLEASE NOTE: This position will be required to
provide and use their own smartphone. It is an expectation that the
employee will provide the device and maintain service. The county will
provide specialized software, as necessary, for integration with county systems
such as email, calendar, etc.
candidate will possess a college degree or six years of
experience and training in telecommunications including two years previous
Avaya training and experience, specifically with CM7.x, AAM, system manager and
session manager required; or an equivalent combination of training and
experience. Significant experience required demonstrating proficiency
with the design and configuration of voice and data network equipment.
Experience in the following areas required: Avaya systems/equipment;
proficient with Communication Manager; Avaya family of PBX, servers, media
gateways and Avaya Aura Messaging; working knowledge and understanding of
networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, VoIP, SIP. Familiarity with CMS
Supervisor. An understanding of wireless technology and support of all
wireless devices issued by the county, wireless telephones, air cards and
iPhones. Good driving
record required. Must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points
within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major
violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree
verification required. This position is subject to working in high
security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal
Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore
requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
