If you have strong program management, IT infrastructure and/or programming experience, and can communicate highly technical concepts to audiences at different stages in the AWS journey, we'd like to speak with you. In this role, your primary responsibility will be the technical program management of AWS Ground Station.
You will work across the software, hardware and product teams to manage requirements, scope and scheduling for AWS Ground Station. You will represent the service architecture and technical needs across Amazon. You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles and make difficult trade-off decisions to drive development goals and program schedule.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will successfully represent program status to senior leadership. Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team's decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and changing the way satellite operators communicate with their spacecraft
5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles; technical program management, systems architecture, or system development.
5+ years of experience working with engineering teams to deliver software requiring coordination between hardware, software teams and operations
5+ years of demonstrable experience in project management and coordinating/driving release schedules
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another technical field, or commensurate professional experience.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.
Hands on knowledge of satellite and ground system communication systems and architecture.
Proven experience in managing large scale enterprise projects.
Strong writing skills, able to easily communicate technical concepts and decisions to broad audiences in writing.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
