You will design and build the next generation architecture and software for managing storage and infrastructure services to support our Infrastructure, Storage service engineers, architects and NVIDIA GPU design, VLSI, Corporate and AI/ML teams. You will build the self-service architecture and capabilities to enable NVIDIA GPU design teams and handling services that are very critical for all NVIDIA users that require 24/7/365 availability and support. Duties will include supporting and leading design and Infrastructure and storage platform software services that are not only revenue impacting but also serve as a back bone to NVIDIA engineering infrastructure services and various business applications.What you'll be doing:Define, build and manage an all-encompassing Enterprise software platform to manage storage and infrastructure services consisting of a variety of enterprise appliances, networks, and open source technologiesDesign and expand self service platform that thousands of engineers will rely on to provision and manage their workflowsCollaborate with internal teams to develop clean and efficient APIsBuild and Integrate provisioning, metrics, monitoring and software to enable management workflows for infrastructure and storage servicesDesign and build data compliance and sharing mechanismsDevelop tooling to automate deployment and management of large-scale infrastructure environments, to automate operational monitoring and alerting, and to enable self-service consumption of resourcesDocument the general procedures and practices, perform technology evaluations, and coordinate and track system orders, installations and deploymentWhat we need to see:BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience, MS with 5+ years of experience or Ph.D. with 3 year of experienceGood Understanding of Infrastructure SecurityStrong collaborative and social skills, specifically a shown ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic matrix environmentAble to schedule, prioritize, accomplish R activities and communicate actions and results as neededSolid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are requiredExperience in the following areas:Python or GoDistributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL eg ELK)Integrating software and services from various vendorsGood Experience with Infrastructure & LinuxDeveloping application framework and APIsUsing end user tools/utilities to automate workflowsWorking in large-scale distributed systemsProduction-quality services, deployment, monitoring, and reliabilityWays to stand out from the crowd:Accomplished projects related to the distributed compute, storage, software defined storageWorking knowledge of configuration management - Salt, AnsibleExperience with at least one of the job schedulers such as LSF, SLURM, Mesos/Marathon, Kubernetes, Docker SwarmSome experience at the large scale data center - 1000+ nodesExperience with solving Linux and storage related problemsUnderstanding of file systems ZFS, XFS, NTFS along with the Enterprise Storage (NAS/SAN)/Data Protection/Backup Technologies usefulMeticulous organizer with an ever positive, can-do attitudeDemonstrate use of out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to highly sticky problemsYou'll be a fun and enthusiastic teammate who enjoys a challenge and celebrates successWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $144,,000.00 USD.NVIDIA also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
