Senior Scrum Master - Cyber Security

About this Role:

Agility Partners is seeking qualified applicants to fill an open Sr. Scrum Master position supporting a Data Protection team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a role that is responsible for a team's collaboration, transparency and delivering product releases that meet quality standards and milestones. In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings and daily stand-up meetings; Provide burn-down and other weekly reports.
  • Guide teams to a culture of focus, improving the organization of their work through sprint planning and reviews throughout a project life cycle.
  • Guide departments and teams towards cross-functional orientation by serving as an Agile consultant, helping plan and coordinate new workflows and patterns and scheduling of task assignments and goals.
  • Identify dependencies between Agile teams and help communicate and resolve dependencies between different teams.
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums forum within the Agile Release Train to communicate Agile teams progress, dependencies and impediments.
  • Form partnerships across departments to streamline work processes and improve the speed at which the company can respond to and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Escalate issues in the implementation of Agile methodologies to expedite process correction, creating strategies that resonate with the culture of the organization.
  • Teach the concepts of task definition, velocity and burndown metrics to all staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate would bring the following:

  • Level one Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master role on an engineering or software development team as part of an Agile team applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Experience with Data Protection highly preferred, but any cyber security experience would acceptable, and is required
  • Would like someone who is willing to travel ~quarterly if not local
