The Senior Manager - Wireless Product Strategy is responsible for leading the development and enhancement of wireless connectivity and management for Cox's mobility and associated platforms. Applies expert knowledge on broadband, connectivity technologies and market trends to define and deliver a multi-year roadmap for Cox's device connectivity, mobile convergence, and associated reporting analytics products. Reports to the Executive Director of Wireless Product Strategy and works independently, leading a cross-functional team that may include direct reports. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading product ideation and development with significant breadth in strategic planning, a deep knowledge of broadband, wireless, mobility, and in-home connectivity products. In addition, the candidate should process a mastery of driving innovation and emerging technologies into organizations with a focus on customer experience and value creation.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and interpret competitive products, consumer trends and industry developments that impact wireless connectivity across mobility, fixed wireless and WiFi networks.
Create long term platform evolution plan to maintain parity and competitiveness with leading wireless operators.
Develop and drive business cases that that incorporate new and emerging use cases into the Cox wireless portfolio. (ie IOT, converged products, edge computing, etc.)
Drive vendor and partner relationships that nurture the growth of new product lines.
Represent Cox as the resident subject matter expert on emerging wireless products and platforms through liaisons with industry standards bodies and peer working groups.
Collaborate with cross functional partners to develop internal point of views related to wireless regulatory areas. (ie new allocations of licensed and unlicensed spectrum)
Exhibit leadership with respect to project development, team interactions, business insights and product strategy.
Develop white papers and executive presentations on emerging industry trends as a precursor to potential lab evaluations and trials.
Leads the planning of the product roadmap for wireless connectivity in collaboration with mobile offerings and management products, ensuring the right strategic portfolio and managing the sequence of development.
Applies a strong understanding of product development processes to lead the execution of all product development initiatives for device connectivity and management products, holding the organization accountable to deliver the product roadmap.
Manages capital budgets of related product development initiatives.
Develops effective partnerships between the Product Management team and the other supporting functional organizations (Engineering, Software Development, IT, Operations, 3rd Party suppliers, etc.) to properly interpret and deliver to the product requirements.
Maintains a strong technical knowledge of wireless and broadband technologies to collaborate effectively with Engineering groups.
Ensures alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.
Supports business development and strategic partnerships for wireless connectivity and management products, assessing potential partnerships, negotiating related deals, and managing resulting relationships, working closely with business development.
Analyzes performance metrics of device connectivity and management products to recommend product improvements.
Works closely with the Internet, Video, and Voice product teams to ensure a seamless customer device connectivity experience.

Key understanding of 3GPP wireless standards up to and including 5G in association with the application of various spectrum bands
Strong business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve results

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Master's or MBA preferred
