As a senior member of the AWS Professional Services Global Security & Infrastructure Practice you will have the opportunity to pioneer security solutions supporting customer initiatives that are meaningful to their business.
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager to own developing the long-term vision and direction of the AWS Professional Services Security & Infrastructure Practice portfolio of engagement offerings. This will include standards for delivery excellence, and support go to market strategies. This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with practice teams across professional services, AWS service teams, legal, finance, marketing, and Customer Stakeholders. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, strategic, and adept at managing multiple work streams at the same time in order to build repeatable and scalable processes and mechanisms. You must enjoy spending time with customers (internal and external) to understand their needs, and to define innovative solutions that meet customer's requirements. You are able to influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions to achieve a desired customer or business outcome. You have a passion for solving complex business challenges and thrive on constantly improving the customer experience.
Ability to dive deep into the needs and pain points of our customers to set the product vision and define the roadmap; working with cross-functional teams to deliver on that vision.
Establish or simplify processes to ensure products meet customer needs (eg, roadmap prioritization, product lifecycle).
Innovate on behalf of customers; translate your product vision into action yielding measurable results.
Develop and manage projects from ideation through execution, including project scope, timeline, and project execution; coordinating remote work closely with field teams.
Proactively manage change control and communicate impact on project scope, identify risks/issues, and devise contingency plans.
Demonstrate an ability to make decisions that consider the whole picture including balancing short-term and long-term trade-offs.
Develop business metrics and KPIs to increase adoption and develop audit mechanisms (eg, metrics, reporting, evaluation standards) to track and report on adoption.
Own product communications, may include updating documentation and/or training.
Demonstrate strong communication skills (both verbal and written) across all levels of the business from technical with audiences of varying technical abilities and business contexts.
Influence senior leaders across AWS Professional Services, and communicate progress, changes, issues, and resolutions clearly to all stakeholders.
This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
8+ years experience in technical product management or relevant experience.
5+ years experience in IT security, compliance, or risk management.
Demonstrate a strong track record of defining and shaping strategy and feature design for technical products or services.
Experience working with external and internal customers, partners and stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop product features and create technical designs.
Demonstrate strong communication skills across all levels of the business from technical partners to senior leadership.
Technical expertise (design and/or implementation) in Cloud Computing technologies
Experience building an enterprise security strategy for cloud adoption or driving the programs evolution to meet new requirements.
Ability to dive deep into business processes, simplify and drive results to meet customer needs.
Demonstrate a strong track record of successful delivery of large consumer facing products/projects with cross-org dependencies.
