Work you'll do/Responsibilities: Consult with clients and internal teams on the system design of their AWS infrastructure buildouts Maintain multiple DevOps infrastructure environments based on client requirements Work with engineering and IT teams to configure the systems and network Implement operational components such as automated patching and backups Write automated tests to verify that the infrastructure is up, working as configured, resilient, and highly available Scale data ingestion pipelines across a growing number of AWS data centers, reducing the latency of data ingestion pipelines by moving batch jobs into a streaming architecture, and extending the data lake architecture for the growing ecosystem of data ingestion and creation tools Implement STIG, CIS OS hardening controls across multiple operating systems for Windows and Linux Support program optimization to work within the constructs of an AWS environment Assist in system migrations and system upgrades to create and deploy new cloud environments Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer userexperience, scale/performance and operability in mind. Monitortheinfrastructure to ensure systems are working as expected and are secure using Native AWS tools, Splunk or ELK Monitor system performance and capacity; reports changes in usage & respond accordingly Design and implement tooling and automation for clustering, scaling, monitoring and alerting The Team Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client's end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies Required Qualifications: Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation to automate AWS deployments Expert knowledge of Service Orchestration and Virtualization using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker & Helm Experience in automated provisioning of infrastructure using cloud formation templates Experience writing production code such as Python, Shell, etc Hands on experience scripting with ANSI (Ansible)Experience building and maintaining Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD workflowsFamiliarity with multiple O/S, networks, firewalls Experience in Windows Active Directory design and implementation across AWS cloud environments Experience in AWS storage encryption, data at rest, and data in transit Must be able to live, commute, or relocate to the Gilbert, AZ or Lake Mary, FL area Must be comfortable traveling up to 25% as needed by the Client How you'll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
