The AWS Worldwide Public Sector Sales Strategy and Operations team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced senior level Business Operations Manager to play a critical role leading the Global Aerospace and Satellite Solutions business. You will lead the creation and formalization of the sales and business operations run books, which includes establishing the operational controls, dashboards, operational metrics, analysis tools, and reports to support the rapid growth of the AWS Public Sector business. This will be an important role as we work to drive scalable operational mechanisms, create strategic narratives and run the operational cadence globally to drive growth. Close partnership with leaders and organizations outside of your immediate team will be necessary, as you will compile data and information that will influence decisions at the most senior levels in Amazon. Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the business operations function supporting this new business
Manage all aspects of reporting and analysis for the Global Aerospace & Satellite Solutions business ensuring timeliness, completeness and accuracy of reporting
Generate metrics and deliver regular reports on progress against KPIs and status - report impact regularly to internal stakeholders.
Development of performance dashboards that encompass key metrics to be reviewed with senior Sales Directors, VPs, and the WWPS leadership team in order to drive and manage the business
Coordinate with corporate teams to influence the roadmap for enhanced Business Intelligence and CRM tools to support the business.
Develop strong, productive relationships across peer organization that further our business objectives
Manage complex programs and quick-turn projects while demonstrating exceptional business judgement
Produce strategic narrative documents for the WWPS leadership team and AWS Executive Leadership
Constantly innovate and improve programs and program management mechanisms, suggesting new ideas and best practices for improving the business.
15+ years of experience in Strategy/Business Operations leadership positions, Enterprise Sales/Services or Management Consulting
10+ years experience working C-Level Executives to drive business decisions, including written and presentation skills to senior leaders
BS/BA degree in business, finance or related field
Demonstrated competency in the areas of group collaboration, analytical thinking and business strategy
Experience building new businesses and teams
Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
Strong business writing skills
MBA or other relevant advanced degree
Experience in Aerospace and Satellite industry
Experience working within a high-growth, technology company (cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, etc.) would be highly beneficial
Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization and to turn ideas into concrete action plans
Ability to develop strong, productive relationships across peer organizations that foster collaboration and best practice sharing.
