Our client is a leading provider of mission-critical monitoring & control and analytical software for the industrial IoT, Utilities, Smart cities, HLS, and defense.

The client has significant experience in the defense space (its technology is used in Israel's Iron Dome) and has created a commercial offering that is particularly relevant for energy companies. They already have traction with some of the world's leading energy companies (New York Power Authority, EON, etc) and are well established in Germany and France.

Currently, they do not have an existing customer in the UK & Ireland but they are engaged in sales processes at the moment with several leading players.

The client is 140 people and expanding (investors include the likes of GE's venture fund).

Job Description:

As an integral part of my client's team, you will be managing sales into the UK & Ireland Energy sector (specifically the energy distribution market).

You will be responsible for:

Develop plans and strategies for success in the region(s)
Grow sales in the region(s)
Growing sales channels in the region(s)
Manage key customer relationships
Hunt and close new business opportunities.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a long sales cycle, large deal software strategic sales to major enterprises.
Major preference for experience in the electric utility sector
IIoT experience is a plus (Industrial Internet of Things)
Experience in “C-Suite” sales
Proven success in:

Building go to market strategy
Building, growing and managing sales channels
Building, growing and managing sales teams
Experience in closing multi-million USD deals.
Over-achieving sales goals

Willingness to travel 33-40% of time
Individual must be a hunter in mentality

The client does not have an office set up in the UK so the position could be based anywhere from a home office. They also do not have a payroll so the person would need to invoice them the base and variable.
