*Please note this job could be based in Paris, Amsterdam or Belgium (home-based). The successful candidate must be willing to invoice the client because they do not have a payroll set up in Germany / the DACH / France / Benelux.

The client is a leading telecom analytics solutions provider, enabling a digital future for global telcos. Over 25 years in enabling 3/4th of the largest 50 CSPs globally achieve competitive advantage. They offer OSS / BSS Analytics solutions in areas such as Revenue Assurance, Fraud Management, Asset Assurance and Partner Management, and newer solutions such as IoT Security. Also offering scalable Managed Services and Business Consulting services.
They have a worldwide client base and a leadership position in the European markets that they are looking to further consolidate.

The Role
The Sales Director will manage a geographic territory (including: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Benelux and France). Responsible for new business sales in the region - this is a hunting role. The client has a new OSS Asset Assurance big data solution that is sold into the CTO area of Service Providers so experience in Network Analytics is desireable.
Working with Telecom operators to identify issues where the client’s solutions and services can assist and deliver value. They will identify opportunities and manage sales campaigns to maximise revenue whilst delivering solutions that bring demonstrable benefit to customers.

Responsibilities
Work with Pre-Sales Consultants and bid management teams to respond to RFP’s in a timely manner
Hunt for new business in Telecommunications Service Providers
Building and managing strong working relationships
Analyse and establish customer requirements and key issues that will affect the buying process
Work with major client stakeholders to communicate the advantages of the solutions and services
Co-ordinate many different resources within each sales exercise to maximise the opportunities
Input customer and industry requirements and issues
Produce accurate Sales forecasts and information for senior management
Develop and execute a Sales Plan to maximize order intake from his territory

Sales and Commercial Skills
Proven knowledge of Business Optimization / Revenue Maximization solutions as well as knowledge in the Network area e. g. covering Network Asset Assurance, Network Capacity and Data Integrity Management
Strong understanding of the Telecommunications business domain
Proven track record of selling high value ($500,000 +) software solutions to telecom operators based on different engagement models with the focus on Managed Services
Has consistently met targets in previous sales roles

Personal Skills
5 + years experience of Software Product Sales to Telecom operators with a proven track record of success
Highly motivated to achieve success both personally and for the customer
Excellent spoken & written English (French would be a big plus)
Strong intellect backed by a good degree
Very strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to listen and understand complex issues
Well developed presentation skills
Action-oriented, competitive personality.
Well developed commercial skills and ability to navigate political issues
High degree of personal flexibility and adaptability
Able to work under pressure and deliver on time
Able to work as part of a team or as an individual

Willing and able to travel extensively – including international
