My client is a multinational company that develop, manufacture, market and distribute thousands of fiber optic products for the telecom and datacom industries worldwide.

They are looking for a candidate based in either Germany or UK (Basingstoke) with a requirement to travel between the two.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for the sales performance of the assigned geographic region. There will also be high emphasis on the management and development of current accounts as well as creating new business.

In addition the candidate will also provide sales reports, forecasts, or other materials as needed and requested by the European Sales Manager.

The successful candidate will have the following:-

Good German written and verbal skills
Ability to negotiate, present and close
Able to travel 40-50%
Experience with connectors, cable assembiles or similar electro-mechanical devices
Experience in direct sales to OEMs, developing territories and new business
Knowledge of Netsuite will be a plus
