INITIALLY, THIS ROLE WILL BE REMOTE (NOT COVID RELATED), BUT EVENTUALLY, SOME TRAVEL TO OFFICE MAY BE REQUESTED IN 2021, IF AND WHEN COMPANIES RETURN TO NORMAL DURING COVID.

We are a growing stealth startup building a disruptive sensor fusion system for autonomous driving and defense applications by solving mathematically intractable problems. Our founder is a seasoned entrepreneur who has built and delivered multiple billion dollar IPOs.

We have proprietary technology that is 5-10 years ahead of the rest of the industry, and we are looking for a visionary engineer to lead the following efforts for our company.

- Participate in all aspects of design and development of RF systems, including analysis, component selection, board design, antenna design, and testing and characterization

- Interact with system designers in the development of RF system specifications covering performance, data interfaces, and control signals

- Hands-on bring-up, validation, system testing, and prototyping of RF boards and systems in conjunction with other system components including digital, mechanical, and the compute platforms

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- BS or MS in electrical engineering with emphasis on RF systems, antenna design, and electromagnetic propagation

- Deep understanding of modulation and demodulation schemes

- Experience with and thorough understanding of link budget calculations

- Experience with RF systems components and their specification based on a system level link budget

- Experience and familiarity with PCB materials, their characteristics, and board design tools for RF frequencies up to 80 GHz

Other desired qualifications:

- Understanding and familiarity with signal processing concepts and algorithms, including filtering, filter design, and transform techniques

- Understanding and experience with digital signal processing, digital interfaces, digital converters, and digital correction loops in RF systems

- Familiarity and experience with C/C++ and MATLAB
