Description

SAIC is seeking an RF Systems Engineer to join our team. SAIC provides specialized engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the development of generation after next national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.
SAIC has an opening for an RF engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to an IC research and development (R&D) customer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical review and assessment of technologies, concepts and systems
- Advise on issues of feasibility and applicability of relevant new RF and Communications technologies to future satellite architectures and spacecraft concepts
- Analyze alternatives to optimize performance and improve understanding of systems architecture and components
- Prepare deliverables that include RF analysis, link budgets, technical assessments, presentations, written reports and recommendations
- Provide technical support to acquisition, source selection and programmatic processes, including developing acquisition support documents, conducting verification and gap analyses
- Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required
- Provide technical support to customer activities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Must have an active TS/SCI with poly
- Bachelors degree in STEM with minimum of 14 years of relevant experience or 12 years with Masters
- Technical understanding of RF and communications systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Communication skills to support written deliverables, group discussion and oral presentations

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience designing and developing satellite buses
- Experience designing and developing RF payloads
- Experience performing modeling & simulation of communications and mission architectures
- Familiarity with intelligence organizations, disciplines, systems and processes
- Demonstrated understanding of the intelligence mission
