Cobham is actively seeking a highly motivated RF/MicrowaveAntenna Principal Engineer to join our engineering developmentteam. In this dynamic environment you will participate indesigning, developing and testing sophisticated RF/MicrowaveAntennas and RF feeds used in a wide variety of Aerospace andDefense applications, providing protection to our warfighters. The successful candidate will have a solid theoretical background inRF/Microwave theory and will also have the creative thinking skillsto bring a product from concept to field use.
Design and modeling of RF/Microwave Antennas and elements from30 MHz to 50 GHz, for a variety of applications utilizingcomputer design tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, GRASP, WIPL,MATLAB and KnowBellFlat Plate waveguide antenna design and fabrication proposal,proctor qualification, and support production.Work with senior engineers and advisors to support our flatplate array products and developmentAnalysis and test of RF/Microwave Antennas, hybrids, feedstructures, filters and elements for a variety of applicationsDocumentation of design elementsSet up and operational Testing and evaluation of engineeringhardware in a laboratory environmentPart Time Travel (less than 25%) expected to support acrosssites for production support, as well as customer meetings,trade shows, etc.Minimum Requirements:
MSEEFive (5) + years of experience in RF/Microwave Antenna designFive (5)+ years' experience with RF measurements includingVSWR, Insertion Loss, Phase, Coupling, Pattern and Gainmeasurements, Radar Cross Section, etc.Five (5)+ years' experience operating PC using standardapplications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, etc.In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must beeligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, whichrequires USA CitizenshipUse of design and analyses software, (multiple tools) such as:
Design and specification of components for Reflector AntennasDiplexer/Triplexer (high pass/low pass/band pass, stripline)filter design experienceGPS Experience a plusBroadband COMM Blade, annual slot, Microstrip Patch, etc.design and realization3D-CAD experienceMaterials and bonding experienceMilitary documentation configuration and control generalknowledgeKnowledge of RF system considerations such as path losscalculation, cascade noise figure, and intercept pointGood analytical and test skillsGood writing and interpersonal skills.Multitask and adjust to changing priorities.Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writtenformatDesign and analyses of Flat Plate Waveguide Array antennaUse of design and analyses software, (multiple tools) such as:
